Black American Bully For Sale — Champion Bloodline Black Puppies
Black American Bully is the breed's most straightforward coat and, in a solid form with no white at all, less common than you would expect. We have no solid black in the current litter. Most of our current pairings carry dilution, which turns black into blue — but we breed it and can tell you when one is due. All our puppies come from champion Razor Edge and Gottiline parents, and every one is the same price: we do not charge a color premium. See the whole litter on our American Bully puppies for sale page.

Why Choose a Black American Bully
A true black American Bully is solid, glossy black from nose to tail with a black nose, dark eyes and black paw pads. On a heavily built dog it is genuinely imposing. The coat hides nothing and shows off structure better than any pattern.
Completely solid black with no white marking at all is scarcer than most people assume, because white spotting genes are widespread in the breed. Most "black" bullies carry at least a white chest patch or toes.
Available now in the same family: blue American Bully (four available, blue is diluted black) and brindle American Bully.

What Makes a Black American Bully
Black in this breed usually comes from KB at the K locus. Dominant black, which overrides whatever the A locus would otherwise express. A single copy is enough, which is why black is dominant over fawn and brindle.
For a dog to be black it must also be B/– (not chocolate) and D/– (not dilute). Add two copies of the dilution allele and black becomes blue; add the chocolate recessive and it becomes chocolate. Black is therefore the baseline every other pigment color is a modification of.
The genes involved
| Locus | What it controls | Relevant alleles |
|---|---|---|
| K | Dominant black and brindle | KB (solid) · kbr (brindle) · k (allows A locus) |
| B | Black vs brown pigment | B (black) dominant · b (chocolate) recessive |
| D | Dilution of pigment | D (full) dominant · d (dilute) recessive |
| S | White spotting | S (solid) · sp (piebald) recessive |
Black American Bully rarity and demand
Common as a base color but less common as a truly solid black with no white markings, since white spotting genes are widespread in the breed. Minimal market premium either way.
| Coat | Rarity | Monthly searches | Typical market premium |
|---|---|---|---|
| Black | Common | 170 | None |
| Blue | Common | 590 | None |
| Chocolate | Uncommon | 110 | Low to moderate |
| Brindle | Uncommon | 170 | Low |
| Blue tri | Uncommon | 140 | Moderate to high |
| Fawn | Common | 170 | None |
Every kennel we know of charges more for the rarer coats. We do not. A lilac merle costs us exactly what a blue costs us to raise, so it is priced the same. Full context in the American Bully price guide and the color genetics chart.

Black American Bully For Sale — Frequently Asked Questions
Are black American Bullies rare?
Black itself is common. Solid black with no white marking at all is less common, because white spotting genes are widespread in the breed. Most black bullies have at least a chest patch.
What's the difference between black and blue?
One gene. Blue is black with two copies of the recessive dilution allele, which lightens the pigment to slate grey and turns the nose grey. Genetically they are the same base color.
Do you have black puppies available?
Not in the current litter. Most of our present pairings carry the dilution gene, which produces blue rather than black. Call or text to be told when a black litter is expected.
