Every American Bully puppy we place leaves with a written health guarantee. Not a verbal promise, not a line on a website. A signed document you receive before any money changes hands, so you can read exactly what is covered before you commit.

What the Guarantee Covers
Our written health guarantee covers congenital and hereditary conditions for one full year from your puppy's date of birth. That means conditions your puppy was born with or genetically predisposed to, diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian.
Separately, we cover infectious disease present at the time of collection for the first 72 hours. If your vet finds something at the initial examination that your puppy clearly left here with, that is on us.

Health Testing Before We Breed
The guarantee is the back end. The front end is not breeding problems in the first place. Our breeding dogs are under the ongoing care of our veterinarian at Bell Rock Veterinary Clinic, and we do not breed a dog we have concerns about.
The American Bully carries a handful of conditions worth screening for. Your Side of It
Two requirements, both reasonable:
- Have your puppy seen by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery. This establishes the puppy's condition at handover and protects both of us.
- Keep up routine care: vaccinations, worming, and a diet appropriate for a growing large-breed dog. Our feeding guide covers what that looks like in practice.
Skipping the initial vet check is the one thing that voids the guarantee, because without it there is no record of the puppy's condition on the day it arrived.
How a Claim Works
Email us the written diagnosis from your veterinarian. We may ask to speak to the vet directly. If the condition is covered, you choose between a replacement puppy of equivalent value from our next available litter or a refund of the purchase price.
You are not required to return the dog to make a claim. A family that has had a puppy for eight months is not giving it back, and a guarantee written to make that a condition is a guarantee designed not to pay out.
What Is Not Covered
Being straight about the limits matters as much as the cover itself:
- Accident, injury or trauma
- Neglect, poor diet, or lack of routine veterinary care
- Parasites or infections contracted after collection
- Cosmetic faults that do not affect health. Bite, ear set, an undescended testicle, coat markings
- Conditions arising from a diagnosed condition you chose not to treat
Our Return Policy
Separate from the guarantee: we will take back any dog we have bred, at any point in its life, for any reason. Divorce, a move, an illness, a change in circumstances. It happens, and the alternative is a Bully in a shelter. There is no refund attached at that stage, but the dog comes home to us rather than being rehomed through a classified ad.
We have had to do this twice in over ten years. The offer stands regardless.
Health Guarantee: Common Questions
How long does the health guarantee last?
Congenital and hereditary conditions are covered for one year from your puppy's date of birth. Infectious disease present at the time of collection is covered for the first 72 hours, which is the window a vet check would reasonably catch it in.
What do I have to do to keep the guarantee valid?
Two things. Have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking delivery, and keep it on the vaccination and worming schedule your vet sets. That is it. Failing to do the initial vet check is the one thing that voids the cover, because after that there is no way to tell what happened before and after the handover.
What happens if something is wrong?
Send us the diagnosis in writing from your vet. If it is a covered hereditary condition, you choose: a replacement puppy of equivalent value from our next available litter, or a refund of the purchase price. We do not require you to return the dog to claim. Asking a family to give up a dog they have bonded with in order to get their money back is not something we are willing to do.
What is not covered?
Anything caused by accident, injury, neglect, poor diet, parasites contracted after collection, or conditions that develop from a lack of routine veterinary care. Minor faults that do not affect the dog's health and quality of life. An undescended testicle, a slightly off bite, an ear that sets differently than expected — are not covered either. They are cosmetic, and they do not make the dog unwell.
