Why Choose a Blue Tri American Bully
A blue tri has a slate-grey base coat with crisp rust or copper points above the eyes, on the cheeks, chest and legs, plus white markings on the chest and feet. The contrast between the cool grey and the warm copper is what makes the pattern so recognisable.
Riot goes a step further as a blue merle tri. Merle patterning and tan points on the same dog, which is two premium patterns at once and considerably harder to produce than either alone.

The Detail
What Makes a Blue Tri American Bully
Two requirements: d/d at the D locus for the blue base, and at/at at the A locus for the tan points. The dog must also lack dominant black at the K locus, or the points would be masked entirely.
Blue tri is the easiest tri to produce because the dilution gene is widespread in the breed. Far more so than the chocolate recessive that chocolate tri and lilac tri both require. That is why it is the tri you see most often and the one priced most reasonably.
