Exotic is a style, not a class. An exotic bully can be pocket, standard or XL. What makes it exotic is the degree of the features: a noticeably shorter muzzle, a wider and deeper front, heavier bone, more pronounced skin and a shorter back than a conventional bully of the same height.
The look is genuinely striking and it is where a great deal of the breed's current demand sits. It is also where the breed's most serious welfare arguments are. How to assess an exotic puppy honestly
Ignore the photographs and check four things: listen to it sleep (silence is what you want), watch it walk away from you (legs should track straight), look inside the facial folds (clean and dry, not red or damp), and ask to see both parents moving on video. A dog that snores at four months will not grow out of it.
